Upcoming: Dr. Linda Harrison’s #WebinarWednesay with Komen!
Good afternoon! It’s time to pull out your calendar and get ready for a little more Breast Cancer Awareness Month education…
Our very own Dr. Linda Harrison will be giving a webinar this coming Wednesday, October 9th from 11:30a-12:30p CST with Susan G. Komen – Greater Kansas City. The topic will be:
“Breast cancer screening guidelines- clearing up the confusion”
The debate on screening mammography is frequently in the news, and this seems to be a favorite issue for dissension amongst experts of different types. This can leave, you, the woman wanting to do the right thing, confused as to your best action. Why do different organizations have different recommendations as to the frequency and recommended starting age for screening mammography?
This webinar will hopefully clear up the confusion about screening mammography and other screening tests – ones you can even do yourself! (Remember: Breast health requires a multi-pronged approach; self-exams can catch things that mammograms can’t and vice versa!)
Dr. Harrison will be on hand to give clear and understandable advice about the hows and whys of breast health care.
You can RSVP for Dr. Harrison’s presentation here. See you next Wednesday! (…and stay tuned for future postings from the #webinarwednesday series from Komen KC!)
