Pink + Promise = Brunch
Spring has sprung in Kansas City! It’s time for flowers (when it’s not snowing). It’s time for sunshine (when it’s not snowing). It’s time for the Pink Promise Brunch!
On Saturday, May 11th (when it won’t be snowing), at the Overland Park Convention Center, Susan B. Komen for the Cure of Greater Kansas City will be holding a benefit event for the fight against breast cancer. It starts at 9am; the full schedule and ticketing information can be found in the above link to the brunch.
Please, do join us. We promise you will be inspired by enlightening talks, conversations, and interesting people. We are looking forward to the presentation by featured speaker Dee Dee Ricks. Ms. Ricks is a breast cancer survivor, a patient navigation activist, and the subject of the HBO documentary, “The Education of Dee Dee Ricks.”
The event will feature a talk by our own Dr. Linda Harrison. (Full disclosure: the presenting sponsor of the Pink Promise Brunch is Diagnostic Imaging Centers, P.A., home to the doctors who write this blog.)
In addition to some tasty food, testimonials to tug at your heartstrings and great presentations by knowledgeable speakers… there’s a bonus: retail therapy! There will be booths set up with themed gifts and give-a-ways, all worthy of your best friends, family members and of course, yourself. There will even be a silent auction.
We do hope you’ll come join us at this great event. It truly is one of our favorite events to attend, one we look forward to sharing with our sisters and brothers in the fight against breast cancer. We can’t wait for such a lovely day of inspiration, education and fun!
