Introducing… Dr. Christopher McKinney!
You may have noticed there’s a new name on the roster of radiologists at Diagnostic Imaging Centers. Welcome, Dr. Christopher McKinney!
Dr. McKinney joins our team as our newest neuroradiologist in residence, board certified in Radiology and Neuroradiology. He strengthens our ability to handle all imaging of the central nervous system – from the head and neck to the spine and all parts of the nervous system in between. He loves the logical puzzles that comprise the human nervous system and the medical imaging it takes to understand them. While his successes surely are a combination of talent and energy, he counts his work ethic as the gift that has meant the most. Soft spoken and hard-working, he will be an excellent addition to our physician family.
A self-identified upper-midwesterner, he finally traveled south to Kansas City in 2009, having graduated from Creighton University School of Medicine and completed fellowship training at the University of Iowa. A dedicated family man, he and his wife are raising three little ones. His hobbies of late include being an “average at best mini-golfer” and teaching the kids to ride bikes. Next year he looks forward to coaching his son’s basketball team!
If you see Dr. McKinney in the clinics, please do say hi, introduce yourself and if you’re craving insider knowledge, ask him what’s up at the zoo. His family has an annual membership there and is currently very up-to-date on the stingray exhibit!
