We Love… Go Red for Women!
Yesterday we talked about the importance of cardiovascular disease as the leading killer of both men AND women. We hope our readers now recognize that the signs of a heart attack may be atypical and confusing in women. We have enthusiastically encouraged everyone to wear red today! (We’ve got ours on!) Why?
Because we love the American Heart Association’s hard work at striving to make lives longer AND healthier by raising awareness of heart disease and the ways you can lessen your risks. Smoker? Stop! High blood pressure or high cholesterol? Get those numbers in control! And as we advocate for women on a regular basis – keep your diet healthy and exercise! The American Heart Association’s “Go Red for Women” campaign is an admirable effort we’re excited to get behind.
